About Rosemarie Montague, MSEd, LMT, LMHC
Rosemarie Montague studied psychology and anthropology at Oneonta State College, including a study abroad program in India, which led to interests and study in Ayurveda and teaching guided meditation, as well as a love for multicultural perspectives and ways of living. After working with the homeless population in NYC, the Bronx, and Queens and obtaining a graduate degree in Education in Guidance & Counseling from Hunter College, Rosemarie went to the Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy and Acupuncture (now The Swedish Institute College of Health Science) in Manhattan and also became a licensed massage therapist, certified in both Swedish Massage and Five Element Shiatsu, which is based on Chinese medicine and restoring the balance of Qi flow along the acupuncture meridians. Rosemarie opened PEACE MASSAGE THERAPY in 2008 in Westhampton Beach, NY, which operated for 16 years and has now moved to the Finger Lakes region! After connecting with thousands of wonderful human beings providing various alternative therapies, Rosemarie obtained an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling in order to provide more services and to combine the aspects of mental, physical, and spiritual health to promote well being, peace and healing.
